Plant Manager - Poultry, Grimsby

We are currently seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to join a leading Meat Processing plant manufacturing company in their state-of-the-art facility; located in the heart of Niagara Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of all Plant facility operations including production, logistics, planning, engineering, and maintenance and quality departments within a brand new meat packaging facility.

Key responsibilities:

Review and implement processes as they pertain to plant manufacturing operations and resolve production or processing problems.
Review processing and production orders and manage issues concerning inventory requirements, staffing and HR issues, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
Coordinate or recommend procedures for facility Capital Improvement for equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Development and monitoring of the plant budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
Work in collaboration with Quality and Food Safety Management teams to support a continuous improvement approach to food safety and quality assurance within the plant environment
Ensure adherence to the Company’s Food Safety requirements and Food Manufacturing practices including CFIA , Ministry of Labour, Ministry of the Environment, and other legislative requirements
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes including HACCP, WSIB, WHMIS and Kosher quality standards

Desired Skills and Experience

5+ years in meat production/ plant management experience required (poultry would be preferred)

Bachelor degree is preferred

Meat processing experience is a must

Knowledge of Kosher, CFIA, HACCP is a must
