The role
Total responsibility for the quality safety and legality of products and the site You will be a diverse Technical Manager with 5 to 10 years experience under your belt and good experience of systems and BRC

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the service of monitoring, improving product, process quality and food safety standards, Whilst identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensure that product and process controls are carried out in compliance with the company’s Quality procedures
  • Verify all intake reports to ensure full traceability on all raw materials and packaging
  • Reporting on all process non-conformances with the minimum of delay in order to reduce rejects and need for corrective action
  • To ensure the implementation and maintenance of the quality systems including top line quality manual, policies and procedures/work instructions.
  • Responsible for BRC accreditation, ensuring the company is compliant with its standards.
  • Coordinate and lead the site HACCP team

The person

  • You will be an excellent all rounder who will be both office based and operational
  • At Least 5-10 years’ experience in similar technical role in food industry preferably working with major multiples
  • Previous experience in BRC audits
  • All round knowledge of:
  • Relevant food and related legislation
  • Quality management systems
  • Continual improvement techniques & methods
  • Team player with the ability to lead and able to positively interact with all internal and external customers/departments
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Hygiene, quality control training/experience
  • Extensive Knowledge of UK Food industry culture
  • Good understanding of customer requirements
